Just two months after earning three medals in Athens, Kaitlin picked up four golds at the short-course World Championships setting an American record in the process. Shortly afterward, USA Swimming crowned her 2004 Comeback Athlete of the Year - Kaitlin almost quit competing because of back stress fractures. We're glad she didn't.
