Brendan Hansen is seldom satisfied with his times. Just to prove he could, he set world records in the 100 and 200m breaststroke at the 2006 National Championships. Two weeks later at the Mutual of Omaha 2006 Pan Pacific Championships, he shaved .24 seconds off his 200m time for a new world standard of 2:08.50. It's no wonder he's the 2006 USA Swimming Athlete of the Year and the 2006 Golden Goggles Male Athlete of the Year.
