More than anything, Randall Bal wanted to break 54.0 in the 100m backstroke. With determination and grit, he put his mind and body to it, steadily lowering his time. Now he’s the 2007 World Cup Champion, his personal best is 52.59 in the 100m backstroke, and he’s the world record-holder in the 50m at 22.87.
